Why Go-OS

In Japanese, five is pronounced Go, and written 五. The idea was to do an obscure pun between Japanese and english as it was already done by others. For example "Aibo" (Sony's robot dog) is a mix of "Ai bot", and "Aibo" (japanese word for compagnon).

The main goal of this OS is to provide something that will boot within 5 seconds after getting control from BIOS.

We have more goals, some are public, some are hidden (but still public).
